Reminder that, as a Barnard student, you get to attend -- and must RSVP and request guest tickets for -- two Commencements: University Commencement on Columbia's campus the morning of May 15, and Barnard College Commencement at Radio City Music Hall on the afternoon of May 15.
You should by now have received the email below from commencement@barnard.edu advising you that registration/ticketing is now OPEN for University Commencement. (Stay tuned for upcoming info about Barnard tickets/registration!)
As Low Plaza seating may be limited, we strongly encourage all Barnard students to register ASAP for yourself and the maximum number of guest tickets for University Commencement. You can swap with friends later if you have too many or too few guest tickets -- just don't buy or sell the free tickets; that is of course unfair and not allowed!

Graduates who wish to participate in University Commencement 2024 must register for tickets online, for themselves and their guests.
Guest ticket registration for the outdoor venue is on a first-come,
first-served basis. Once outdoor ticket capacity is reached, multiple
indoor locations will be available for guest registration.
Each guest wishing to attend an event
during the Commencement season must have a ticket. Each guest ticket
permits entry to one ceremony location. Seating is also on a first-come,
first-served basis so early arrival is recommended.
Following registration, each graduate will receive:
| • | One email containing one graduate e-ticket |
| • | Individual emails containing guest e-tickets. Each email will contain one ticket per event, per guest |
A few friendly reminders:
| • | University Commencement: Undergraduates may reserve up to four (4) guest tickets. |
| • | Graduates are responsible for distributing tickets to their guests directly. Guest
emails are collected at registration for emergency communications only.
All guest tickets will be emailed to the registered graduate. |
| • | Morningside campus will be closed to the general public all day. |
| • | Guests will only be admitted to the specific ceremony and location indicated on their assigned ticket. |
| • | Commencement
season is a time to celebrate and enjoy your accomplishments. To honor
the spirit and significance of this occasion, we do not permit the
interruption of speakers or audience disruptions. All participants and
guests attending Commencement season events understand and agree to
follow the responsibilities set forth in University policies, including
the Rules of University Conduct and Standards and Discipline. Those found in violation will be asked to discontinue and may be asked to leave venue. |
